Knebworth Community Chorus held our Christmas Cheer concert on Saturday 7th December 2019 at Knebworth Village Hall.  We were joined by children from St John's Digswell School Choir and other young players and Chris Muhley at the keyboard.  Seasonal pieces, some familiar and some less so, were enjoyed and lots of audience participation.

Knebworth Community Chorus held its Summer Concert, Songs of the Sea, on Saturday 15th June 2019 at Knebworth Village Hall, led by Derek Harrison, Musical Director, while Jonathan Pease accompanied on the piano. There was plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in with some familar tunes as well as enjoying those being performed, all helped by interval refreshments. KCC were joined for the first time by the instrumentalists of Woolmer Green Concert Band.

Knebworth Community Chorus held It's Christmas concert on Saturday 8th December 2018 at Knebworth Village Hall, led by Derek Harrison, Musical Director, while Chris Muhley accompanied on the piano. There was plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in with some familar carols as well as enjoying those being performed, all helped by mulled wine and mince pies as interval refreshments.

KCC were joined for the second year by the choir and instrumentalists from St Michael’s School, Woolmer Green. The choir sang a selection of Christmas songs, and joined with children from the audience and Knebworth Community Chorus to sing Away in a Manger.

St Michael's School choir and flute players were directed by Hannah Hewitt and accompanied by Rachel Wadey on piano, while Sam Jellett directed and accompanied the violin ensemble.

This Christmas season, Knebworth Community Chorus also sang at the Knebworth Lights Switch On event at St Martins Church Green on Friday 30th November, and sang carols for residents at Constance Place. We appeared in support of Hal Fowler, Kim Wilde and friends, as part of a concert in aid of Waste Not Want Not, held at Knebworth Village Hall.

A perfect summer's evening was perfect backdrop to Knebworth Community Chorus's Summer Concert A Celebration of British Songs held on Saturday 23rd June 2018 at Knebworth Village Hall, conducted by Derek Harrison, Musical Director.

KCC was pleased to welcome Alexis Bennett who performed several different folk tunes on his fiddle, from England, Ireland and Scotland, including Scots Lament composed by James Oswald (1710-1769) who was Chamber Composer to George III. Oswald died in Knebworth, having lived the last few years at Knebworth House following his marriage to Leonora Robinson Lytton.

We were also very pleased to welcome back Simon Marlow who accompanied the different numbers in the programme on piano.
